From the moment I started reading this book, I just could not put it down. I wasn't sure what to expect, Ryan is well known for her erotic romance and paranormal. This is a completely new and different kind of book and genre from what I'm used to reading from her. There is such a natural and unhurried flow to the characters and the story progression that you can't help but be brought into the story and feel as if you are witnessing it first hand.
Lyric is a young woman, fresh out of high school, who after an accident sets off on a quest to find out what she really is and what her role is in this new world she knew nothing of.
I can't say much else because when I get excited about a new book, I risk giving spoilers away. Suffice it to say that I absolutely loved Lyric's story and cannot wait for book 2.
