Review: Scandalous Affair

Image
Scandalous Affair by Lucy H. Delaney My rating: 4 of 5 stars This debut novel by Lucy Delaney will surprise you. It sure surprised me. I'm not one for cheating in my romances. It doesn't matter whether it is physical or emotional. Cheating is cheating. However, I am a strong proponent for characters following their hearts, so a love triangle isn't always a bad thing in my book. Without going into spoilers since I detest them, I will say that Delaney managed to make the story sexy without giving off any of those negative vibes you often get from implied cheating situations. I won't tell you who I was rooting for, I'll let you make up your own mind over which woman to root for. I will say that at times it felt as if Nate's attraction to Sophia was purely physical unless they were dancing. At those times, the emotion was palpable. I understand that this was the author's debut novel, however, I never let that affect the core o

John: The Rann Brothers Trilogy Book Two: Social Rejects Syndicate by AM Cosgrove My rating: 4 of 5 stars I'm giving this 4 stars. Not because I didn't like it, honestly I can't wait to read Will's book. I took off a star because I just don't like John. From the moment he opened his mouth in Jack's book, he just made himself unlikeable. He's supposed to be the head of the family. Family protects each other, especially from outsiders. That smells of weakness to me, not someone whose job it is to protect the family. Now, it's all about him. Now that it affects him, he actually wants to act and expects the others to be on board. Honestly, I enjoyed reading this book. How could I not? It was well written and other than John, the characters are great. I just di

Review: I'm With Cupid

Image
I'm With Cupid by Lia Davis My rating: 4 of 5 stars Nope. Can't happen. You can't leave me like this. I loved this story. The characters were fun and quirky, exactly how I like them. But it was way too short. I finished it and just wanted more. That being said, these authors are a great pairing and I can't wait to read more from this collaboration. View all my reviews
